Our Last Roots of Empathy Session

Some really creative building today!

Today, Karen came for her last Roots of Empathy visit.  She brought us all certificates to celebrate our participation in this program.  So special!  We learned a lot about caring for others and taking the time to understand how others are feeling.  We were very lucky to participate in this program and thank Karen for all of the stories and songs she shared with us along the way.

(Miss C, your certificate is waiting here for you!)

Thanks for sending hats and water bottles with the kids today.  They were well used!  I hope you don't mind, but I wrote kids' names in their hats so that we knew who they all belonged to.

Tomorrow is Library day.  Please make an effort to return all library books on time.  At this time of year, our librarians are busy accounting for all the books.  If you can't find a book or need to make any inquiries, please email Ms Lee (her email address can be found on the Brooksbank website).

We are all finished our letter sharing now!  Next Wednesday (the 17th) I will be asking the kids to bring in something from home that they would like to show the class…..anything they like (within reason!)

Tomorrow is also our last kilometer club run of the year.  We have some students who are very close to earning their 75km ribbon!!! And we have some who are close to earning their 40km ribbon.  All of the kids have had such positive attitudes when running/walking.  I have been so proud of all of them!  We will have our final ribbon ceremony on Friday afternoon.

Tomorrow, we will be going into the gym after lunch to watch the Brooksbank Talent Show.  We don't have any performers from our class, but I'm sure the kids will enjoy watching the older kids perform for the school.
