Baby Beau, Painting and Lots of Visitors!!!

Baby Beau came for his last visit to our class today.  He has grown so much over the course of the year!  Today, he was standing with only a little bit of help and he was so steady on his feet.  He was crawling really fast and making lots of different sounds.  We were so lucky to have had the chance to watch Beau grow and change and we'd like to thank Karen for facilitating our sessions and thank Beau's mom for coming and spending time with us.

Singing our hello song.

On his way to get the toys.

Opening a present and cards from the class.

Looking at the baby book that Karen put together, showcasing all of the milestones that Beau has reached during his time with us.

Karen made some treats for us to enjoy and to celebrate the time we had together.  Mmmmm!

We've been looking at Eric Carle's books, specifically his art work.  Today we painted with a partner to create some of the same kinds of textured paper that Eric Carle uses.  We will then all share this paper, to cut out shapes and make collage pictures.

At the end of the day today, we were so happy to welcome our families into the classroom to share all the work we've been doing during our study of families.  The kids were so proud to share their work around the classroom.  It was fun to see how many parents could guess our baby pictures.  And we really enjoyed sharing our video explaining all the things we learned about families.

Oh we're going to miss Miss C!  She has been such an asset to our classroom.  It is her last day on Thursday (I'm trying very hard not to think about it!)

Tomorrow is Z sharing day.

Friday is a professional development day (no school for students)
