From Yesterday….
We went into the gym between recess and lunch for the grade 7 farewell assembly. It was HOT and we had to sit for quite a while. The class did so well. It was nice for them to see some of their older friends (from the playground and from peer mediating) all dressed up and being celebrated.
And here we are, on our last day of Kindergarten. Look how much these kids have grown and changed. As I was saying good-bye this afternoon, I told the kids that they are kind, compassionate, thoughtful, friendly, smart, FUNNY, and interesting people. I feel so excited for each and every one of these kids. They are ready for new adventures. They have developed into independent little people. I am sad to see them go and I will remember them with such fondness, but I am also thrilled to watch how they move through the rest of their Elementary years, growing and developing. They are ready!
To all of you families, I want to send the most heartfelt thank you possible! I have had such a wonderful year teaching your little ones. Your support has meant everything to me. Thank you for all of the gifts and kind words (both in person and in writing). I feel the same way about you all. We were a good team this year!
Enjoy your summer time adventures. Enjoy your time together as a family. Try new things, share stories and continue to play! I look forward to hearing all about it in September!
Hugs and more hugs,
Claire
This sums it all up…."now I know my ABCs, next time won't you sing with me". My heart soars!
