This is a photo of this student's great, great, great, great grandfather, Chief Joseph.  Her family sent some information about Chief Joseph that I thought would be interesting to share here too....

Chief Joseph was the leader of the Wallowa band of Nez Perce, a Native American tribe indigenous to the Wallowa Valley in Northeastern Oregon.

He was a peace keeper, freedom fighter, respected leader and protector of the Earth.

You can learn a lot about him in American History books.

He once said, "The Earth is the Mother of all people, and all people should have equal rights upon it."

We worked in our math journals today.  We had to count and colour a certain number of dots on the apples.  The kids did a fantastic job!

And here we are at the end of November!  I can't believe that it's December 1st tomorrow.  December is a very busy time at school, lots of different events happening.  I will be posting lots of reminders and bits of information here on the blog in the next couple of weeks.  Please check regularly.
