PJ Day, Outdoor Exploration and Rest and Read

Today was PJ Day, we had lots of very comfy looking kids in the room today.  We started the day building, and of course, there were many requests for photos….here they are!

After recess, we went back to Loutet Park and explored the environment around us.  Today we focused on our senses of smell and touch.  In the garden behind the school, we smelled all kinds of plants and drew what we smelled.  Then we moved to a more forested area and touched the things we found.  Then we chose something that we could feel and drew and wrote about it.

After all that hard work, we had time to run and play…."put your foot in if you want to play hide and seek!"

The forest has lots of good hiding places.

At rest and read time today, the kids in the class were really focused.  It was nice to have some quiet time after a very busy and exciting week.

We hope you have a fantastic long weekend!
