Wow, what a fun day we had today! We started the day in family groupings and worked together with kids from different grades to complete a challenge. The challenge was to build a catapult using 10 chopsticks, rubber bands, some string and a spoon. The goal was to launch a tin foil ball as far as possible. When our catapults were complete, we competed against the other teams in the room we were working in.
Then, after the teams in each room competed, we joined together with the winning teams from all the rooms in our area. These winning teams then competed to determine the area winner.
After recess, we moved around from station to station outside. My station was bracelet making and I was unable to walk around to take photos of the other stations. Here are a few bracelet and painted face photos:
Oh, this girl is not in our class, but I had to take a photo of this amazing face paint!
Then, after lunch, we all went outside to the grass field for the school wide events.
We participated in the hula hoop contest
we watched some tug o'war competitions
Then we finished the day with watching the Grade 7 water balloon toss.
What a great day it was. Thanks to all of the parents who were able to come and join us today for some of the time. It's going to be hard to go back to regular Kindergarten tomorrow!
Oh, just a reminder that Friday is PJ day!
