This morning, while we were building, some of us were able to finish up our finger painting.
And there was some awesome building going on too!
This was our second time playing California Kickball in the gym. IT didn't take us long to learn the rules of the game at all! The kids are now all running around the bases without any help.
This was supposed to be a sneak peek of the Mother's Day presents coming home….hopefully they all made it to you! Did you notice your child's finger prints in the centre?
After recess, we took our learning outside again. We went on a senses walk and recorded what we saw and heard. It was such a beautiful day and the flowers in the garden behind Brooksbank were blooming, there was a lot to draw!
What a great place for a classroom!
do you recognize this flower? (scroll up, I bet you can see the inspiration in a previous photo)
such detailed pictures
all the colours of the garden!
then we moved to another area to notice what we hear…..we rested on the grass and closed our eyes and listened. It's amazing what you can hear when you focus all of your energy on listening.
Then we drew what we heard.
Then, after all that focused listening and looking, we had some time to run and play.
We're so lucky to have all of these great places to learn and explore right on our "doorstep".
