Measuring Weight and Signing


 To continue our study of measurement, we explored measuring weight today using a variety of different scales.  The kids moved from one table to another measuring different objects and comparing their findings.  They also made predictions and then tested their predictions.  The room was full of math talk and it was fantastic!
 





















This afternoon, Rhena came in for our weekly signing lesson.  We learned the signs for boys, girls and kids and reviewed our colours.  Then Rhena played a game where she only gave us instructions in sign and we had to see if we could follow her directions.

wow, some kids are really following instruction booklets so well!  This is even more complicated than it looks in the photo!

Oh, and we have a rogue hood that is looking for the rest of its coat.  If this looks familiar to you, come on in and get it!
