Please look in your child's home envelope tonight, there is a green notice regarding a field trip to Maplewood Farm. Please return these to me at your earliest convenience.
On April 8th, the Primary students at Brooksbank will begin Kilometre Club. 3 times a week, we will join all of the primary (Kindergarten to grade 3) students on the field and run together. The kids will collect popsicle sticks after completing a lap of the field. We will run for half an hour each time (although, we might start with about 20 minutes depending on how the kids do). The kids earn ribbons as they complete a certain number of Kilometres. We will have three "Ribbon Ceremony" assemblies where student will receive the ribbons they earned. Our running days are going to be Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (although there will be some times that we will run on Monday and Thursday). So, after the Easter weekend, please make sure that your child is wearing clothing and footwear that is appropriate for running and please make sure that he/she has a water bottle every day.
