Today, a bunch of the kids chose to make paper airplanes and fly them. There was a lot of planning and talking and designing happening. Then, after a few test flights, adjustments were made and then they were retested. There is a new component to our curriculum called Applied Design, Skills and Technologies. Kindergarten kids are natural "ADST" learners. This exploration with paper airplanes is exactly what the ADST curriculum is all about. More kids decided to join the fun this afternoon, but I didn't manage to take any photos. These are all from the group that was working this morning.
We had 2(!) guys readers today. We are working on using big voices and remembering to show our classmates the pictures. This is such a great addition to our day!
