We started the day a little bit differently today. There were some big pieces of paper spread around the room with markers. The kids worked together and chatted as they drew and wrote.
Some other kids worked together to build some impressive structures.
During math journal time, the kids practiced their new math strategy of counting on that we learned yesterday. They worked independently to add the dots together (just like with the snowman hats yesterday) and match the dots to the answer. They did really well!
We went into the gym for our second tennis lesson today. Marcus gave us time to practice some of our new skills and taught us some new things to try. Next week, we will have tennis on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

We had a bit of time with the playground all to ourselves!
Have a terrific weekend. There were lots of yawning faces this afternoon, but we had a great first week of the new year.
