Happy September new Grade 1s!
Tomorrow is the first day of school! It feels like we were hugging good-bye only yesterday. I hope you've all had a fantastic summer.
Here's a little information for the next couple of days...
Tomorrow, kids in grade 1-7 will come to school from 8:50-10:50. If you are not going to be here, please inform the office as soon as possible so that we can keep our information up to date.
We will spend some time playing and chatting about our summers. The kids will also be going out for recess. Now that they are in Grade 1, the kids will be taking their snacks with them outside, rather than sitting down at the table to eat. Please send something that is easily eaten "on the go". The only thing your child needs to bring tomorrow is a snack.
Grade 1 school supplies should come to school on Wednesday. We hope to have all of our classes organized by Wednesday morning and we anticipate that students will move to their new classes by recess (if all goes as planned). So, on Wednesday, the kids will start their day with me and then will likely move to their new classes during the day. We ask that parents wait outside the front entrance to pick children up at the end of the day. Please do not enter the building as we would like to make the transition as smooth as possible. Kids should bring a lunch and snack on Wednesday in addition to school supplies.
