Sharing and Centres

Today we got to know each other a bit better.  The kids in the class brought an item from home to share with the class.  Then the class was able to ask 2 questions about the sharing.  We saw a great variety of things and learned a lot about each other.  We also practiced taking turns and listening to the person speaking.  Some people shared in the morning and others shared in the afternoon.  There were 4 people who are going to try and bring something to share tomorrow.

a stuffy snowman

a book about some dogs who are so curious about what goes on in school that they find a way to sneak in!  We read this book at story time today.

Some math cards

another favourite book

some souvenirs from a trip to Hawaii

an American Girl doll

Then, we moved on from sharing to our Centre Time.  Centres is a time for the students to choose what they would like to do.  There are a variety of different activities to choose from and they change over the course of the year.
