This morning, for part of our library time, Mr. Chan was our teacher. It was nice to spend some time with him and listen to him read us a story!
We learned all about Police Officers today. We read a few stories. We also talked about why we use the terms "Police Officer" and "Fire Fighter" rather than "Policeman" and "Fireman". This led to a discussion about the differences between boys and girls which led to a discussion about body parts. Your child may come home talking about these differences today. We started talking about Police Officers and ended up talking about anatomy….another reason I love Kindergarten, you never know where your lessons are going to go!
We are in the process of making some Police Officer pictures. We worked on the hats today. The kids worked so hard to colour carefully and to fill in all the white space. Then they cut them out. We will finish our officers tomorrow.
We worked at our math tubs for just a few minutes today after we finished our Police Officer hats. Here's a look at some of the things we did…..
