Celebrating Talents

While we were outside this afternoon, a few kids started hopscotching.  I didn't have my iPad with me, so I wasn't able to take any photos.  All the kids approached the hopscotch differently, everyone had his/her own style.  One of our classmates made the loveliest comment.  She said, "Everyone has a talent for hopscotching"…she recognized that even though each person approached the task differently, they were all successful in their own way.  This got us talking about talents and that we all have talents that are unique to us individually.

Some people have a talent for balancing on one foot.

Some have a talent for drawing.

Some have a talent for hopping (difficult to capture in a photo!)

Some have a talent for printing letters.

Some have a talent for singing…this is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

(Oh here is our missing Ii sharing from yesterday…..an ice pack!)

And some have a talent for folding and rolling.

It's important to recognize one's own talents and learn to appreciate the talents of others.  We all have something different to offer to this learning community.
