Thank you all for coming in to meet with me during our conference week. It was great to chat with you all. Sorry I didn't manage to blog on Friday. You're getting a double dose today! The first part of this post is from last Friday and the second part is from today.
We worked at some literacy stations. We practiced printing "Ff".
We practiced rhyming…3 different ways
more rhyming
and more rhyming
More "Ff" printing
making rhyming pairs
On Friday, we started an art project that we finished today. We did a wash of paint for the background and if you keep reading this post you can see the finished project!
Today, we got together with our buddy class (Mrs. Mitchell's grade 3s). We made some beautiful poppy pictures. They helped us with ours and then they finished theirs in their own classroom later in the day. Half of the group worked in Mrs. Mitchell's classroom, so I only have photos of the kids who stayed here.
We glued different sized circles together and put a black button in the centre. Then we drew some stems and glued the poppies onto our painted backgrounds.
Such a sweet picture. We have been talking about what peace means. I think this picture says it all!
Here are the finished poppy pictures. Aren't they beautiful?!?!
