Please look in your child's home envelope tonight for this piece of paper. Miss Harstone is going to begin a unit on "Family" in the coming days and is asking each family to provide us with a bit of information. Once you have filled it in, please send it back in the home envelope. We are hoping to highlight the fact that families can be different and can also have similarities. Today, we introduced something new. In the mornings, when the kids come into the classroom, they will no longer be answering a question. Instead, they will have a magnet with their initials that they will move to a "zone". These zones relate to how they are feeling. We are learning about our feelings and how to manage them. We also talk about how all feelings are ok and that everybody experiences lots of different feelings every single day, sometimes even at the same time! The kids can revisit this chart through the day and move their magnet as they see fit.
