Scavenger Hunt

This morning, some of the kids were listening to the song that we danced to during our Zumba classes.  They remembered so many of the moves and actions.  I love it when a spontaneous dance party happens!

Some great morning Lego building.

This morning we got together with our Grade 3 and 4 buddies and we went on an Easter Scavenger Hunt.

There were clues around the schoolyard and playground that we had to go and find and then we had to figure out the first sound of each word to put them together to solve the clue.

When we finished finding all the clues, we came back into the classroom to read books with our buddies - a perfect activity for Reading Awareness Week!

In recognition of Reading Awareness Week,  kids are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character from a story or to wear pyjamas (so that we can be cozy while we read).  Of course, this is completely optional. We will attend an assembly tomorrow to celebrate our week of reading.
