It has been a busy couple of days! I was at a meeting yesterday morning, but the kids in the class were busy with Miss Maria. They explored the sense of "taste" yesterday, tasting sweet, salty, bitter, and sour foods.
We also had a visit from a giant over night. He left a note in our classroom with a measuring challenge!
So we moved around the room looking for items that were longer, shorter and the same size as his foot!
We recorded our findings on some large pieces of paper in the classroom.
Yesterday was such a lovely day, we brought out the water table and explored measuring capacity. 4 students had their turn yesterday and 4 other students will have a turn next time and so on until everyone's had a turn.
Just a little bit of creativity that I couldn't resist sharing with you!
We had another busy day today! Next year's kindergarten students came for their first visit to Brooksbank today. Our BIG Kindergarten students spent an hour with Mrs. Kristensen's class. They heard a story, did some chalk drawings and we squeezed in an extra Km Club.
Before that we noticed that our friendly giant paid us a visit again last night and left us a new note….
So we did some more measuring and will be sending a message back to the giant. Can your child remember how many footsteps it took?
