 We read Actual Size (a picture book).  Miss Maria asked them to guess what this was….a monster's mouth?  a dinosaur's mouth?  Then we looked for this image in the story and discovered that it is a great white shark's mouth (ACTUAL SIZE).  Then, we guessed how many of us could fit in the shark's mouth.  The guess was 22 students.

Adults had to get in too because there was still room.

Then we tried lying down, we estimated and then counted.

Then we explored the actual size of a gorilla hand.  We counted how many objects it would take to fill the hand (using different materials).
