Giggles!

We had our third and final session with Jared from the Young Actors Project today.  The kids were so excited and participated really well.  There are a lot of photos to look at….it's amazing how much we did in an hour!

Being "cheesy opera singers"

still singing opera

Then we played "slow motion tag"

moving in sssllllooooowwww motion

then we played a "clap around the carpet" game, where one person started by clapping once and the next person clapped once all around the carpet.  Then we did it again with two claps and then again with 3.  The last time we played, we clapped a pattern.  Such good concentration.

"adding colour to our words"…Jared had us saying different words with different emotions.  For example we had to say the word "happy" but in a sad way.

Then we said "sad" but we said it happily.

Then we made pencils with our bodies.

Then spoons.

Then umbrellas.

Then scissors.

Then balloons.

Then we were sad balloons.

And surprised pencils.

And confused umbrellas.

Then we got together with a partner and made different letters with our bodies….A

Then Jared did a little bit of improv with us.  Here they were 2 princesses looking for the lost king.

They found their giggly king.

Then they were 2 cowboys/cowgirls, trying to catch up to the bad guys that are getting away on their horses.

This was a husband and wife.  The husband was making dinner and the wife brought desert home.

Then the kids came in to get the food.

These were sharks.

These 2 worked in a restaurant and ran out of hamburgers.  "Gus" was the boss.

The boss had to phone someone to order more hamburgers.

These 2 were cupcakes trapped inside a whale (!).  Yes, you guessed it, Jared took suggestions from the audience for characters and settings.

These two were making cupcakes in a bakery and ran out of icing.

So they had to phone to get more icing.

So many giggles!

After all this fun, it was time to go outside.  I had to include this photo….so stylish!
