New Math Game and Lots of Graphing Practice

Today, we learned a new math game.  We practiced number recognition, matching the dots on a die to the numerals, some of us even added two dice together to make bigger numbers (if we wanted to challenge ourselves) and then we graphed our results.

After recess, we made a graph with our bodies using the rectangles on the carpet.  We chose the flower that we liked the best and then put our bodies in the corresponding spot on the carpet.  Then we looked at our results.  Afterwards we went back to our tables and colored in our own graphs to show our information.  The kids were able to show the data on the graph (most of them could do this independently) and then were able to answer questions about the data (such as which one is the greatest?  which one is the least?).

During Centre Time today, Miss Maria encouraged the kids (those who chose to) to make insects using a variety of different sized circles. Such creativity!

Tomorrow is Ww sharing day!
