Farm, Science, Sharing Tomorrow

We had a lovely visit to Loutet Farm today.  Jillian taught us all about bugs that are helpful and harmful to our gardens and we had a good look at the plants and noticed how the garden has changed since our last visit.  Then, we got to do a little bit of garden nibbling!

taking a close look at the dinosaur kale

We were allowed to pick a little bunch of the dinosaur kale flowers and eat them.  So delicious!

Today, Miss Maria introduced us to the concepts of living and non-living things.  We explored and discussed some photos, looking for things that the images had in common.

Then we went back to our table and sorted items from a mystery bag into "living" and "non-living".  The feather was an item that created quite a lot of discussion.

Tomorrow is Vv sharing day!  And also Library day.
