We were able to learn about some more of our families today. It's so lovely to see how excited all the kids are to share information about their families.
In honor of Earth Day, we attended an assembly in the gym today where some players from the BC Lions talked to us about what we could do to help our Earth.
put on a sweater. take shorter showers, turn off the lights, check for drafts, turn off electronics
We learned about where we use the most energy (heating our homes and water).
One of our classmates got to participate in a relay type game where she had to put on several articles of clothing, run to another person, take off the clothing, then her partner put on the clothing and ran back to the hamper to take them off. She did a great job.
Then the BC Lions players passed around a big inflatable Earth and checked to see if the audience could remember ways in which we can help save energy.
Today we celebrated two special birthday girls. We enjoyed some cupcakes and sang happy birthday.
