Building and Q Sharing

In our classroom, we have some building toys called Playstix.  I have always loved them because they are different than any other building toy I've seen before.  I've had them for years and have always enjoyed seeing the creations that the kids come up with.  This group of kids has taken building with Playstix to the next level.  They have figured out that you can interlock the sticks to create solid structures…something I have never seen before!  Take a look at some of the things some of the kids were working on this morning…..

Then it was Qq sharing time.  With such a tricky letter, the kids thought of some really interesting things to bring….

Quincy Q

The Quiet Book

and a Queen CD

The Queen Cd resulted in a spontaneous dance party….what a great way to start the day!

You will find two forms in your child's home envelope today.  One is for us to participate in The Young Actors Project (a group that comes into schools and teaches drama) and the other is a fruit bar order.  Both are on white paper, so they might be easily missed…please look for them tonight.
