Last Night and Today

I took a few photos last night before and after our performance, I didn't manage to get any "during" pictures because we were just too busy being AWESOME! I was so very proud of the class. They performed so well and remembered all the things we practiced. There were no nerves (that I could see) and they were so happy to be up on that stage.

Here we are waiting for our turn.  There was a TV in the room that streamed the show (although it didn't have any sound), we were able to see what the other classes were doing.

Here we are waiting for our turn to walk on the stage....the excitement was building!

And here we are after it was all done!

This morning, a lot of the kids chose to do something that most people don't do on December 7th, they made and flew kites!!

I think it was great to have some time to run around in the fresh air after a late night. It was chilly and foggy out, but that didn't matter.

Some people were too cold or didn't want to fly kites, so they continued their inside activities.

This morning we started a Christmas tree art activity. We got the first part done, cutting and gluing the strips. Tomorrow, we decorate!

(still a little cold from running outside)

And, I know you've seen pattern pictures before, but they always ask me to take more....

Tomorrow is the Jingle Walk at 11:15. Thank so much to the parents who are going to walk with us. Please make sure that your child is dressed for COLD and possibly wet weather. We will walk rain or shine or fog and we will be outside for about an hour.

Thank you

Frosty the Playground

NO sharing tomorrow

These two pictures were from yesterday and I didn't manage to put them on here then.

Here's a look at today...

When we went outside this morning, we were surprised to see that everything was covered in frost. We had some fun writing our names and drawing in the frost (and singing "Frosty the Playground")

Today, we practiced our sing for the Christmas concert. The kids did a great job! We will practice more tomorrow before the "big show"!

Check your email

Hello!
I don't have anything to post today but I encourage you to check your email for information about Wednesday's Christmas concert. Also, please check your child's home envelope for a field trip form.
thanks!

Some Concert Information

Hello! I just have a little bit of information about the concert to share with you. We are singing two songs (Jolly Old Saint Nicholas and Up on the Housetop). If you have these songs at home, it might be good to play them while you're doing things around the house so that the kids can hear them again and again. We'll be doing the same over the next few days at school. I have just learned that the kids are supposed to wear "Holiday Best" clothing for the performance.  I have not yet received any information about how things are structured at Centennial Theatre (in terms of where to go when you arrive).  I do know that all of the kids in the school spend the concert time behind the scenes and come on to the stage to perform.  I'm not sure about dismissing kids after the concert. As soon as I receive this information I will let you know (probably on Monday). I just want to make sure that you know you have to purchase tickets at Centennial Theatre (there have been a few emails explaining this) and I know that today was the day that any extra tickets were made available to families looking for more than 2. Again, as I learn more, I will let you know.

We will not be doing sharing next Wednesday, I think there will be too much going on!

Have a great weekend!

one more bit of "I" sharing....instrument.
