We started the day with calendar, our Special Helper leading the way.
Then we did some work at our tables. We ordered some pictures from shortest to longest, cutting and gluing.
During Yoga, we worked on some partner poses. Miss Frogley showed us "lizard on a rock". One person is the rock and the other is the lizard. She taught us how to safely get into this pose and how to safely get out of the pose. Many of the kids said that they really liked being the "rock".

this is "seesaw"
this is "open heart"
We went outside to work on some stations today.
Miss Harstone explained what to do with the "alphabet soup" station.
We explored the water table for the first time since we are starting to get some nicer weather.
We used tweezers to pick letters out of sand and named the letters, said the sound and then thought of a word that begins with that letter.

We went back to the forest this afternoon.
First, we had some exploration time.
Then Miss Harstone read us a book called "Sharing Our World". It is a book about the animals of the native northwest coast. We looked at the indigenous artwork and talked about the characteristics of the animals.
We talked about the history of this land its ancestors.
Then, we took some time to look more closely at the various animals and colour them in with traditional colours.
Such peace and focus.
Then we made our way back to get ready for our long weekend!
The kids also brought home their seedlings today. If you can, find a spot to plant them and watch them grow even bigger!
Have a great weekend, see you on Tuesday.
