I don't know what happened yesterday, I forgot to put the photos on the blog! So today's post is a mix of yesterday and today. The pictures are all jumbled up because they were from two different sources, but I'm just going to leave them the way they are.
This was a collaborative effort yesterday morning. These kids worked hard lining up building toys end to end to see how far they could reach, then they estimated and counted.
some great building
yesterday in gym we played plant tag
when you are tagged, you turn into a seed and need to be sprinkled with "water" to grow again
Then we worked on some throwing and catching skills with bean bags and balls.
We learned a new song about what plants need and another one about the parts of the plants. We sang and did the actions.
The RCMP has asked for some help from many schools. They gave us some canvases and asked us to paint them to be used as decorations around the police station. The theme is "community". We added leaves to this tree and said, "a community is a place where we grow together". I think it turned out beautifully!
Today we did some more dancing....we danced to a song called "banana, banana, meatball" it was all about patterns.
We planted some bean seeds.
We had a visit from a giant! He left us this message.
Here are our castles, ready to go with our growing bean seeds.
Terrible picture, but here are our bean seeds ready to grow.
Here's a closer look.
and now, back to yesterday.....
and more planting photos....
Have a fantastic weekend!
