We started the day today watching the three North American groundhog announcements. We learned that the American groundhog saw his shadow (6 more weeks of winter there!) and the two Canadian groundhogs did not see their shadows (early spring for us!). We then made some little groundhog puppets and a little burrow so that we could see if our groundhogs would see their shadows. Later in the day, we went outside and drew our shadows with chalk.

We also worked on a Valentine's art project today. We are waiting for the paint to dry and we'll put them all together tomorrow. Here we are painting the backgrounds.
