Yesterday and Today...

friendly public service announcement: Please remember that we go outside every day, even if it's raining. It would be WONDERFUL if all children could wear rain proof coats, pants and boots. Even if the rain isn't falling from the sky, the ground and playground structures are often wet at this time of year and kids are much more comfortable and able to learn when they are dry. Thanks!

We played "pumpkin bowling" in gym today, it was so much fun!

We worked on our cutting skills today and made bodies for our hand print vampires. Please scroll to the bottom of this post for the finished projects.

Look at this impressive tower!

Here's a look at another art project that we just finished. They are hanging in our classroom, come and take a look if you get a chance.

The tower continued to grow...

This little group has been working on a poster for days. It is so many decorated hand prints. Such dedication!

Here are our finished vampires. They are in the hallway. Come and take a look if you can.

I will be sending home information about Halloween day  sometime this weekend. Stay tuned!
Also, remember that next Friday (Nov. 2) is a North Vancouver District Curriculum Implementation Day...which is just like a Professional Day, no school for students.

Today we met with our big buddies for the first time. They are the grade 3s from Mrs. Schnetzler's and Ms Munro's class. They read stories to us and we spent some time getting to know one another. So much fun!
