Yesterday and today....

We went to Loutet garden yesterday!

We went on a garden scavenger hunt with a small group.

We foraged for food, tasting dandelion leaves.

and chick weed

and dinosaur kale

did you know that dinosaur kale and broccoli are relatives?

Today we learned about four-leaf clovers as we were talking about the month of March, so we went on a clover hunt.

we found some plants that looked a lot like clovers, but not too many actual clovers.

Then we posed for some pictures because it was such a beautiful day!

Then we went on a little run around the field.

From the last few days....

Here are some photos from our pink shirt assembly.

An older student read a story she wrote about kindness.

2 other students read a book about ways to be kind.

We watched a short "movie" written, filed and acted by Brooksbank students.

In class, we talked about using kind words and then brainstormed a list of kind words.

This was my view yesterday...helping the kids in grades 4-7 who are part of the ski program. The kids in our class did a great job while I was away.

Today, we went into the gym and did "Jump Rope For Heart".  The grade 7s taught stations that we rotated through. First we started with a  warm up.

Then we moved to our stations.....
