Last Day of November

A bit more "I" sharing that had to be shared right away before it was no longer beginning with "I"....ice cubes

"can you take my picture"

This morning, we spent some time making some pattern candy cane decorations using beads. We each made two.  One for ourselves and our families and the second one is going to be used to decorate "Gerry's Tree".  The garden behind Brooksbank is called "Gerry's Garden". Gerry is a lovely man who created this garden that brings so many people joy. In the spring time, we visit the garden to learn and explore. In a couple of weeks, all of the classes at Brooksbank will decorate a tree in the garden to thank Gerry and his wife for all that they do for our school community.

Here's a little more "I' sharing:

A Bit of I Sharing

I need to apologize! I have not been doing a good job of letting people know when sharing is happening. I didn't manage to remind you of I sharing, but some kids brought in some great items.  If your child didn't and he/she would like to, we can certainly share them tomorrow too!

Beanbags, Dancing and Guinea Pigs!

Today, after warming up with some tag games, we did some beanbag balancing with different parts of our bodies.  We moved in different ways and in different speeds trying to keep the beanbag balanced.

Then we practiced some throwing and catching.

Mrs. Threndyl came in again today to teach the next lesson of "Incredible Flexible You".

Part of the lesson today was a dance party!

Then we got together with our table groups and came up with a plan to figure out how we were going to get back to our islands together.

Then, we had some other special guests today. One of our classmates and her sister and mom brought in their pet guinea pigs to show us. They wandered around our carpet and we had the chance to feed them some lettuce and pet them.
