Gym and Math Stations

Some more amazing morning building...

Fresh new markers making colouring and printing SO much better!

In gym today we played two new games. This one is called Mountains and Valleys. One team works to turn all of the cones into valleys while the other team turns them over to make mountains. It's a never ending game that is fast paced and fun!

Then we played another "never ending game" called "hot potato". One team is on one side of the gym and the other team is on the other side and there are balls all around the gym. Each team tries hard to get rid of the hot potatoes (balls) that are on their side of the gym.
We had some very sweaty and very thirsty kids at the end of our gym time today.

We rotated through 5 math stations today. This one was practicing writing 1s, or 2s, or 3s. Or 1s, 2,s and 3s.

This one was counting out the number of shapes that the paper tells you to and then creating a picture with those shapes.

This one was matching the numeral with the ten frame representation of the number. Remember those egg carton/pompom ten frames? This is an extension of that activity.

This was another counting activity. Matching numbers of objects to the numbers listed on the backpack picture.

Here we are counting ants at a picnic and putting the correct number of ants on the numeral.
