Tia from Young Actors Project came to spend the morning with us today. We played lots of games and learned how to show different things in different ways.
She first asked us to sit in this chair in different ways.....
Then we pretending this banana was not a banana.....
it was a smile
the moon
a rainbow
a phone
an upside down moustache
a beard
a frown
oh dear, I can't remember what this one was
a boat
a crown
a beard
then we warmed up our bodies and our faces
we shook our hands and feet
we stretched our faces as big as we could make them
we made happy faces
mad faces
mad faces
silly faces
surprised faces
sleepy faces
more silly faces
more face stretching
then we made our faces as small as we could get them
then we walked around the room in different ways
here we are being cold
(I can't remember all of the different ways we walked)
we were walking in mud
then little groups acted out different actions and the rest of the class had to guess the action
building a snowman
digging a hole
dancing
waking up
dancing
babies
old people
in love
bored
excited
We had so much fun. We have 2 more Young Actors sessions before the end of Kindergarten. So much fun!
