Focus on Reading Week

Today we finished up our family graphs. The kids worked in small groups and moved from one graph to another to add their data. They wrote their names and coloured the square that represented their family (how many brothers, how many pets, how many grandparents, etc.) This was one more way to learn that all families are different.

This afternoon, our big buddies (the grade 5s and 6s in Miss Monahan's class) came into our class and read to us. They went to the library and picked out books that they thought we would like. And they did a great job choosing the stories and reading them to us!

Then we went outside with our buddies and used chalk to draw a picture of something we liked about the stories.

Tomorrow is T sharing day and also bring your favourite book to school say.
