We had the pleasure of working on a Spring craft with our buddy class (Mrs. Mitchell's Grade 3s) today. We made pinwheels. First we decorated, then we cut and then we assembled them. Now, I have to admit, this was not the best activity I've ever planned. It was challenging to assemble the pieces together and a bit difficult to keep the pinwheels assembled. But, the kids worked wonderfully together and worked hard to overcome the challenges. Sometimes, the product is not the best part of an activity. Today, I believe the best part was watching the kids work together to solve problems without becoming frustrated or giving up. Such important things at school and in life!
When we do Buddy Activities, half of our class goes to Mrs. Mitchell's classroom to work and half stay here. Therefore, there are only photos of half of us today. Mrs. Mitchell may post some photos of the other group working on her blog. Please find a link to her blog on the Brooksbank webpage.
