D Sharing and Painting Leaves

Today was "D" sharing day.  I took photos of our items so you can see what was brought in.  This is a good chance to talk about the /d/ sound and practice it at the beginning of all these words!

We started painting some fall leaves today.  We used watercolors and marveled at the way the colours blended together….magical!  We will paint the backs tomorrow and then they will be hanging in the classroom soon.

There was a lot of creativity going on in the classroom today...

This afternoon, we went into the gym for an assembly.  The Brooksbank "Do Good" group (a group os students who are involved in many initiatives to "do good".  Today they planned a "Mini We Day" for the kids at Brooksbank.  If you want more information about the original "We Day", take a look online and you can see where the inspiration for Brooksbank's event came from.  The intermediate classes got together between recess and lunch for some inspirational talks.  We joined them this afternoon for the celebration part of the day.  We participated in the "We Day" dance and watched some singing and dancing performances.

Such an awesome audience!

This is us dancing….I know it's dark, but you can just make us out!

Have a great afternoon! Reminder that tomorrow is Library Day.
