Reminders....

You're going to start to think that all we do is build patterns!! This actually takes up only about 10 minutes of our day, but it's a time when everyone asks me to take his/her photo. We had a very busy and very successful Friday. The kids are really adjusting well to our routines. The length of the day continues to be something that many of the children are working towards adjusting to, but they did so well. We finished our art project (look in the hallway when you get here on Tuesday). We started printing the letter A. We had our photos taken. We read stories and played outside. We managed to get our raincoats and boots on mostly by ourselves and take them off again when we got into the school.

Here's a look at some Friday patterns. Please scroll to the bottom for some reminders for next week....

Monday is a Professional Day. This means there is no school for students but staff will be at school learning and working together.

Tuesday is our visit to Loutet Farm. Please ensure that your child has raincoats and rainboots that day (rainpants, too, if you have them). Even if it isn't raining that day, the garden ground can be quite muddy and wet and we are outside the whole time.

Please send in your emergency forms and comfort kids as soon as you have them ready. The sooner we have them, the better because they contain all of the necessary information in case of an emergency.

Please make sure that you have completed the on-line forms. We need the walking field trip form to be completed before Tuesday for your child to attend the Loutet Farm visit.

Wednesday will be "B" sharing day. Again, please help your child find a household item beginning with B.

Thursday, next week, will be our school's Terry Fox Run. More information will be coming home as we receive it. For now, the most important things for your to know are that your child will need to be dressed for the weather and wearing shoes that he/she can run in. The school will also be collecting donations for the Terry Fox Foundation. It was Terry's goal to raise $1 per Canadian. Any donations that you bring will be collected in our classroom.

Finally, for those of you who were unable to make it to "meet the teacher" night last week, I am working on putting together a quick post of the main points that were covered. Stay tuned for that.

I think that's it! Have a great rest of the weekend!
