We had our first ever 8:50-3:00 day today and we are ALL tired! The kids had an amazing day, we learned how to choose our centres today and had a chance to play in a few different places around the classroom. We learned about clean up routines. We learned about patterns and practiced making patterns with different materials. We had our first "rest and read" time, we went to the library. We were outside on the playground at the same time as the rest of the school (but still with our teacher) and learned how to line up at our meeting place (the flagpole). It was a busy, busy day and there were lots of tired faces and bodies at the end of the day. Please congratulate your child for a wonderful day. It might be a night for quiet activities at home and an early bedtime if possible! (For me too!)
