Our First Full Friday!

We did it! What a wonderful group of kids this is! They are adjusting to our routines so beautifully and working together like stars! I feel very lucky to get to spend my days with them!

This weekend might be a weekend for some much needed down time. The kids have worked HARD this week and are probably feeling the effects of all the new people and experiences. I couldn't be more proud of them!

Here's a look at our day today.....

some of us chose to paint this morning

some played at the carpet

We went to the gym and moved like different animals. These slithering snakes followed me wherever I went! We also practiced what to do when the whistle blows (stop and sit). The kids were experts in a matter on minutes!

After we did a bit of colouring in an alphabet book we moved on to some pattern building.

This is what "rest and read" looks like after lunch. The kids each get a mat and 2 books (if they choose) and we have "quiet, by yourself time" for about 15 minutes. We turn off the lights and play some classical music. It is a chance to take a break and "recharge our batteries" for the rest of the afternoon.

We also went to the red playground for the first time as a class. The kids were excited to play there and had a great time!

Have a wonderful weekend!
