Big News and Garden Visit

We have some new classmates today! Something pretty special happened overnight!

look closely at this photo....can you see someone in the background?

We now have several painted lady butterflies!

As we were walking to Loutet farm today, we noticed that there are some plants in Gerry's garden that have been planted to attract butterflies. This is so exciting because we know that there are plants that will be a good food source for our butterflies.

We picked some kale at the farm today.

and noticed some other foods growing

Then we washed the kale and Michael put it in a HUGE salad spinner to dry it.

We felt it vibrate as it was spinning.

Then we tore the kale up into bite sized pieces.

And put our salads together.

Then it was time to eat!

What a great way to spend our last visit to the farm!
