Yesterday and Today

I had a busy afternoon meeting with different people after school yesterday and didn't manage to post any photos of our day.  Here's a look at some of the things we did yesterday....

Yoga

tree pose

We did a "body scan" where we learned to calm our body from our head down to our toes.

After recess, we continued our exploration of light.  We got together in small groups and came up with a quick play about animals.  Then we went behind a screen and performed our shadow plays for our classmates.

We were able to finish our paint bubble bowing today.

Now on to today....

We were very lucky to start our day with Mrs. Benson (Mrs. B).  She used to teach at Brooksbank some time ago and now teaches Zumba.  She is an extraordinary person.  I don't know her whole story, but I do know that she was the recipient of a double lung transplant.  There is a poster on the wall of the main entrance to the school where you can learn a bit more about her.  Each class is going to have 3 Zumba classes (our next two are on Monday and Tuesday next week).

Here we are ready to get started.

Even Mr. Kelly got in on the action.

So many photos and so much fun!

One more lion was completed today.  We also finished our lambs (March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb), but didn't manage to take any photos of them yet. Stay tuned.....
