Garden Exploration

Tomorrow is N sharing day.

We met in a circle outside the garden and talked about signs of spring (and reviewed the rules of the garden).

We met a new member of the garden, this is Michael.

We checked out the green house and looked at the things that were growing.

We walked through the garden and looked at all the plants....lots of kale.

We found a calendula flower.

Then we gathered in the shelter and matched seeds to the plants that they came from.

Then we each got a piece of newspaper and we learned how to roll it into a little growing pot.

Then we filled our pots with soil and planted a nasturtium seed or a calendula seed.

We talked about all the things a seed needs to grow.
