PJs and Buddies

Here we are looking very cozy in our PJs.

Mrs. Mitchell and her class came down to our class to tell us about our buddy project for today.  We worked together to make reindeer antlers.  Half the class worked in our class and the other went to Mrs. Mitchell's room. 

And I'm sorry, I know i missed a couple of kids because it was time to go outside when some of them returned to the classroom.  I was helping kids into snowsuits and missed a couple of photos.  Hopefully the antlers made it home so you can see them in person!  

One final thank you for all of the lovely gifts, cards and well-wishes.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday with your families and that the new year brings you good health and happiness.  Enjoy your time together and I'll see you again in 2017.

Firetruck

we did a little crafting with Miss Harstone today.  The parents who organized the Jingle Mingle had some crafting supplies left over and kindly gave them to our class to use.  We made mouse Christmas tree decorations today.  We are letting the glue dry tonight and we'll bring them home tomorrow.

The firefighters came back to visit some other classes today and they invited us out to their truck to have a close look. 

We saw where the hoses are kept.

And the equipment for cutting open cars.

A generator for when more electricity is needed.

Then we had a turn to sit in the firetruck!

Then we had quite a surprise, a man in a red suit with a white beard was strolling through the street and stopped to say hello (!)

Then we came back in for more crafting.
